Thanks For Stopping By

We have a series of questions for you to work through that will help you better understand what to expect on your first visit to Clatskanie Community Church.

Where we are located?

We are located at 415 S. Nehalem St. which is located just south of the main highway (highway 30) that runs through the middle of Clatskanie.  Nehalem street is the only street in town that intersects highway 30 with a stop light.  From either direction turn onto Nehalem street heading up the hill and we are three blocks up.  Turn left in front of the church and we have two parking lots one by the church and another "below."

Our address is 415 S. Nehalem Street, Clatskanie OR 97016

When should I arrive?

Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:15am.

On your first visit we suggest arriving about 15 minutes early to get acquainted with our building, hopefully say hello to a few other people, and figure out where kids will go (if you have younger children.).

*we currently do not offer staffed Nursery service.  However, our nursery is available for those who have young ones that need a break from the service.  We do have the service available for you to watch and listen to in the nursery.*

What opportunities might you provide for our family?

There are many ministries at Clatskanie Community Church ranging from those available at our weekend services to year-round outreach ministries. Visit the Ministries page to see all the activities you and your family can participate in now!

Sunday Mornings Options:

  • Childcare is available for our service for ages birth – 2 years of age.
  • We offer Childrens' Church Activities (pre-k - 2nd grade) during our service which starts at 10:15am.

Middle & High School Students:

Refuge is our middle and high school ministry with activities and meetings offered year round.

  • Refuge (youth group) takes place every Sunday** evening from 6pm to 7:30pm (this is for 7th - 12th grade).
  • Monthly activities are planned.  We have several staple events that take place throughout the year at Refuge.  These are amazing times to grow deeper in relationship with God and in friendship with one another.
  • Mission Trips.  We desire to see students understand the importance of being on mission for Christ and so a big part of that is we try to offer a missions experience at some point during their middle/high school time here at Refuge.

**As we finish up the "school year," weekly meetings continue in early June but move to summer activities for the remainder of June, July, and August.

If You Decide to Visit CCC

What should I expect?

  • When you visit CCC, you can expect to smell the coffee brewing, find a treat ready to taste, and a host of friendly people glad that you’re here.
  • CCC is a place where you can come as you are, relax and feel comfortable at church. No one is going to put you “on the spot” or ask you something embarrassing. We are a relaxed, informal, upbeat, and a welcoming church.
  • You will hear some great music. Whether you choose to sing along or just listen, that’s fine.
  • You will also hear a message that you will understand; one that will be relevant to your life.
  • We believe that going to church should be an experience reflecting the changes in person’s life as they follow Jesus.
  • Church should be real, genuine, authentic, and practical to the daily needs of people in our day and age. Church should be a place that you enjoy coming to.  Church should be filled with the laughter of people who really love being together. Church should be about impacting the Community and not just the people who attend. It should observe what needs exist among the people in the surrounding area and do everything it can to meet those needs and make it a better place to live.
  • Finally, church should be the place where people can encounter a real God who loves real people and who can work in their lives in real ways. If you think church should be like this, then we’d love to see you here!

How do I get Connected?

CCC believes in building relationships.  Under “Get Connected” you will find a variety of opportunities and ministries to connect with others in our CCC family.  We recognize that getting connected can take a little bit of time, especially if you're brandnew to our community.  However, we would encourage you to take 3 or 4 Sundays to really see if CCC will be a place you feel comfortable connecting with.

What should I wear?

We know you might be concerned about wearing the right thing when you come to church; we invite you to come as you are.

Whether you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, polo and khakis, or a suit and tie, you’ll fit right in to our community.
