Assessments
We assess our students multiple times throughout the year to make sure they are developmentally and academically on track, to gauge where they are in regards to kindergarten readiness, and to measure their growth throughout the year.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
At the end of the school year we will host optional parent-teacher conferences for the Pre-K class to look at your child's growth and talk about your child's readiness for kindergarten. We are also happy to discuss any concerns or questions you have throughout the year and are available to meet with you if need be.
Locked Doors
To ensure safety of our kids, we will lock the doors of the church from
9:05am – 11:30am. If you arrive late or need to enter the building during school hours you can call Teach Jollie and we will let you in.
Discipline
The word “discipline” comes from the word “disciple” which is defined as someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ. At our preschool we teach children to be disciples of Christ and to treat others the way God would want us to treat them. We use discipline strategies that are positive and uplifting but that also teach children the appropriate way to behave and handle situations. We help children walk through problem solving strategies when in conflict with other children and lovingly teach them how to listen and respect their teachers. We will provide redirection strategies and time out if necessary and will contact a parent if there is a safety concern or a problem that continues or worsens.
Supplies
We ask parents to provide a backpack or bag for their child to take to and from school. If interested in donating to our program, we also have created a Wishlist on Amazon for items we would love to have in our classroom.

Parent-Teacher Communication
We will provide a folder for your child to take to and from school as a means to communicate if we don't get a chance to talk to you when you pick your child up from school. Please check your child's folder often to stay connected with upcoming events and information. Your child's artwork will be placed in their folder to take home as well.
Snacks
We ask that parents take turns bringing a snack for their child on a rotating schedule. We will send out a snack calendar each month so that you know what day your child is snack helper. On the week that it is your child's birthday, you may choose a day to bring a treat to share with the class. All food must be commercially packaged.
